1. The Magic of the Biblical Oils
==================================

Christmas is the perfect time to acknowledge that
we have access to something today that was highly
valued and considered almost priceless when the
story of Christmas began.

Essential oils, sometimes known as liquid gold, are probably
the most magical elements on earth. This was a known fact
throughout biblical history, and is one of the reasons why they
were gifts brought to the Christ child.

The miraculous healing properties of essential oils are still
known today but are unfortunately overshadowed by man-made
pharmaceuticals that minimize symptoms of disease and rarely
heal.

One of the greatest teachers alive today on the subject of the
miraculous healing powers of essential oils is Dr. David Stewart.

David Stewart, PhD is a scientist, scholar, and a most spiritual
man. He calls essential oils "God's Love Manifest As Molecules"
and has the most amazing ability to explain how the benzene ring
of the essential oil molecule expresses energy, life force, and
love that can heal on the most profound levels.

Dr. Stewart is the author of "The Healing Oils of the Bible" and
"The Chemistry of Essential Oils Made Easy". He has an
educational program (CARE = Center for Aromatherapy Research and
Education) in the study of essential oil chemistry, Raindrop
Technique, and Vitaflex technique (www.raindroptraining.com).

I've been blessed to be a friend of Dr. Stewart and his wife Lee
for several years. I studied with him in the second CARE class
that he ever taught (these CARE classes are now taught
throughout the country by several trained instructors). I had
the best chemistry lesson ever!

2. Essential Oil Tip: Essence of the Season
===========================================

This is one of my favorite kits. I love burning the resins in
the fireplace at a special time. The Christmas Spirit blend is
the best thing to diffuse throughout the holiday. Your holiday
company will say to you "What smells so good? - it's fabulous!"

I thought I would cover three amazing oils with one
recommendation here ~ The Essence of the Season Kit.

It has:

--Frankincense
--Myrrh
--Christmas Spirit

--Frankincense resin
--Myrrh resin

4. Recipe of the Week: Manna Bread
==================================

2 Cups of wheat sprouted (preferably organic wheat)
1 lb dates
1 Cup raisins
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves

OPTIONAL: 1 T chopped filberts

--Sprout the wheat (takes about two days).

Easiest way is to put the wheat in a container with holes in the
lid. Fill it with water and let it set for a few minutes then
drain the water. Repeat this process several times a day. When
the sprouts are about 1/2 to 3/4 the length of the grain, they are
ready to use. If the sprouts are ready and you are not, store
them in the fridge. If you do not change the water very often it
just takes them longer to sprout.

--Drain the sprouted wheat well

--Place in food processor with the dates and buzz until a dough
ball forms. You may need to add a little water.

--Stir cinnamon and cloves. Note this version is not very spicy.
You can triple the amount shown to make it more spicy.

--Stir in raisins.

--Shape into two loaves.

--Sprinkle the chopped nuts on the outside if you are including
filberts.


--Bake for 2 - 3 hours at 300 degrees.

Note: If you have problems getting the dough because the mixture
is too wet, add a little whole wheat flour.

Visiting his grandparents, a small boy opened the big family
Bible.

He was fascinated as he fingered through the old pages. Suddenly,
something fell out.

He picked it up and found that it was an old leaf that had been
pressed flat between the pages.

"Mama, look what I found," he called out.
"What have you got there, dear?" his mother asked.

With astonishment in his voice, the boy answered, "I think it's
Adam's underwear!"
