10 Questions to Help You Set Achievable Goals
It can be difficult to set goals and keep to them, especially if
you have set them before and not achieved them. It can quickly
become frustrating and discouraging. This article contains 10
power questions that will help you look at what you really want
in life and then you can set goals that are aimed at obtaining
the life you really want.
So lets get started! Grab a pen and paper so you can write down
the answers to these power questions to help you take control of
your life and then to set goals that will make you happier with
who you are and with your life.
--If you were to fully life your life, what change would you
make first? Take a good honest look at your life and ask yourself
what is holding you back from living to the fullest.
--What areas of your life could be upgraded and what are you
tolerating or just 'putting up with'? Situations in your life
that you are tolerating but are not really happy with, will
eventually drain you. Pin point these areas in your life.
--What do you want MORE of in your life? It may be more family
time, more money, more holidays, more kids etc
--What do you want LESS of? It may be strife, stress, late
nights at the office etc
--What are three things that you do regularly that do not
support or serve you? It may be over sleeping, watching too much
TV, playing video games for hours on end, etc
--What would you try now if you knew you would not fail?
--Write down 3 things you love.
--Write down 3 things you hate.
--What is the one thing you would love to do before you die?
--What is one change that you could make to your lifestyle that
would give you more peace? It can be anything. Getting up in time
for work so you are not rushing, attending yoga once a week,
going for a swim, making time for a cup of tea after work before
you pick up the kids etc
Once you have answered these questions, you have a fair idea of
where you want to go in life, what you love, what you hate. Now
set your goals around these answers and you will be aiming for a
life that you really want.

2. Being Gracious to Your Gut

Holiday overindulgences can mess up your intestinal system.
Here are a few tips on how to take care of yourself to prevent
problems or to do a few quick repairs
Prevention Tips:
--Drink plenty of water
--Take your favorite probiotic product - mine is Live 5 from
Young Living
--Have Kefir every day
--Take digestive enzymes (Young Living's are superb!)
--Do not drink alcohol or eat sweets on an empty stomach - if you
indulge, eat some protein first
Quick Belly Repairs:
--Stop the sugar and booze or what it is that is messing up your
system
--Eat an umeboshi plum (health food store in macrobiotic or asian
section)
--Alkalime powder - mix in water and drink (Young Living)
--DiGize Essential Oil blend (YL) - rub on your belly or bottom
of feet (peppermint is good also!)
--Acidophilus
--Drink water with lemon

3. Natural Hangover Cures

Hangover Cocktail
1 large can of tomato juice
3 Tablespoons vinegar
1 lemon
4 slices of onion
3 Tablespoons of sugar
4 stalks of celery
2 teaspoons of Tabasco sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Mix ingredients in a container, let stand overnight.
Strain and serve.

--Drink Ginger Tea
--Homeopathic Remedy Nux Vomica
--Eat an Umeboshi plum
--Take a B-complex
--Drink gobs of water
--Put a packet of Emergen-C in your water (health food store)

7. Recipe of the Week: Christmas Turkey Leftoevers
=================================================
Here's a great turkey leftover recipe!
Turkey-Asparagus Pilaf
2 cups water
2 Tbs butter
1 (6-1/2 oz) pkg instant long grain and wild rice
1 (10 oz) pkg frozen asparagus
3 cups chopped cooked turkey
1/3 cup chicken broth
2 Tbs dry sherry
2 Tbs white wine vinegar
3 Tbs sliced almonds, toasted
--Combine water, margarine, and contents of seasoning
packet from package of rice in a large skillet.
--Bring to a boil and stir in rice.
--Cover and remove from heat.
--Let stand 7 minutes.
--Cook asparagus according to package directions; drain
and cut spears into thirds.
--Add asparagus, turkey and next 3 ingredients to rice; toss
gently.
--Sprinkle with almonds.

May we laugh at ourselves and realize that if we were
supposed to touch our toes while exercising, nature would have
put them further up our bodies; and, the reason so many of us
take up jogging is to hear heavy breathing again.
May what we see in the mirror delight us and what others see in
us, delight them.
May someone love us enough to accept and forgive our faults, be
blind to our blemishes, and tell the world about our virtues.
May the telemarketers wait until after we finish dinner to call
us. May our checkbooks and budgets balance.
May we remember to say "I love you" at least once a day to our
spouse, our child, our parent, all of our significant others.
May we live in a world at peace, with awareness of the beauty in
every sunset, flower, baby's smile, lover's kiss, and every
wonderful astonishing beat of our heart.
May we smile and laugh throughout the year.
