1. Drink Water, Love it, and Pray for it too
=============================================
Drinking water is one of the most important things
we can do for our health.
Most people are dehydrated and this shows in their
appearance and in their general health.
Lack of water can create many physical annoyances
such as headaches, constipation, and even moodiness -
as well as wrinkly skin.
An excellent book to read about the importance of
drinking water (and the many symptoms from lack of water
you would never think about) is "Your Body's Many Cries
for Water" by F. Batmanghelidj, MD.
We need a certain amount of water every day for our
bodies and our mind to function at an optimal level.
We get a significant amount of water from foods we eat,
like veggies and fruits, but here is the recommended
amounts of water we should drink according to The
Institute of Medicine:
--Men - 13 cups
--Women - 9 cups
A more specific formula that I believe is better is half
of your body's weight in ounces.
The best way to be certain to drink plenty of water
is to carry a bottle with you wherever you go, and sip
it throughout the day. But you must be careful what type
of container you drink out of!
Many plastic water bottles leak plastics and other chemicals
into the water and mimic estrogen in the body that can lead to
cancer.
A sensible alternative to carrying your water is glass - but
it breaks too easily.
The perfect answer is a stainless steel water bottle which you
can carry everywhere and wash easily.
These bottles come in various sizes and shapes, with different
lids so you should find one to suit your needs.

--Learn About Emoto's Work
With water playing such an important role in our very existence,
it is important that we look after this resource by fighting
pollution and calling on governments to help prevent pollution
and wastage.
Water has a spiritual side as well, as anyone who has ever sat
and stared over a body of water can testify.
Water calls to a spiritual side of our being. Dr Emoto has
carried this theory forward in his research into energizing water
with thoughts feelings, beliefs, and prayer.
As a part of his Emoto Peace Project he recently held a
ceremony at the largest freshwater lake in the
world, Lake Baikai, to send love and gratitude throughout the
world by way of the water. The choice of location was made in
response to reports of pollution of this precious resource.

2. Essential Oil Tip: Lemon for Clean Drinking Water
=====================================================
A few drops of therapeutic lemon essential oil added to
drinking water has been shown to kill diphtheria,
tuberculosis, staphylococcus aureus (golden staph) and
meningococcus bacteria.
It's also a great alkalinizing agent!
Lemon oil has a similar effect on airborne bacteria.
Here is how to make great lemon water with your
therapeutic grade lemon essential oil

4. Recipe of the Week: Lemon Sorbet
===================================
This classic lemon sorbet is a fat free, palate-cleansing,
desert, perfect for the end of a summer meal.
3 lemons
1 orange
1/2 cup water
1 egg white
3-4 tsp stevia
--Puree the flesh of the fruit, getting rid of the seeds
--Add the water and stevia and puree quickly to mix
--Freeze for two or three hours until slushy
--Whip the egg white to soft peaks and fold though the slush
--Freeze again for at least thirty minutes
--Take out of the freezer ten minutes before serving.
Perfect with fresh strawberries!

5. HSL's Joke or Cute Quote of the Week
=========================================
THE LEMON and THE LITTLE OLD MAN
The local bar was so sure that its bartender was the strongest
man around that they offered a standing $1000 bet:
The bartender would squeeze a lemon until all the
juice ran into a glass, and hand the lemon to a patron.
Anyone who could squeeze one more drop of juice out
would win the money.
Many people had tried over time (professional wrestlers,
longshoremen, etc.), but nobody could do it.
One day this scrawny little man came in, wearing thick glasses
and a polyester suit, and said in a tiny, squeaky voice, "I'd
like to try the bet."
After the laughter had died down, the bartender agreed,
grabbed a lemon, and squeezed away. Then he handed the dried,
wrinkled remains of the rind to the little man.
But the crowd's laughter turned to total silence as the man
clenched his fist around the lemon and SIX drops fell into the
glass.
As the crowd cheered, the bartender paid the $1000, and asked the
little man, "What do you do for a living? Are you a lumberjack, a
weight lifter, or what?"
The man replied, "I work for the IRS."
