1. Too Much Estrogen? Not For Women Only
=========================================
Too much estrogen makes us fat and sick according to Ori
Hofmekler, author of The Anti-Estrogenic Diet.
Male and female, and children too - we are all susceptible to
this problem.
The excess estrogen of concern is not what is generated from our
bodies, it comes from our food supplies and our environment.
Hormones in our meats and dairy, and pesticides on veggies and
fruits, will mimic estrogen in our body. As will chemicals in
personal care products and in the air we breathe in certain
environments. These are "xenoestrogens" or estrogenic chemicals
produced industrially.
Here is the scary part ~ the chemical estrogens are easy to
understand, but there are plant estrogens (also called
phytoestrogens) that we may be eating and thinking we're doing
good - by getting good estrogen naturally - but we're not.
Okay, this is where some of you might be impacted greatly - to
the point of reading this and wanting to throw your shoe at me or
Ori. Ready? one of the plant estrogens that is probably the
worst thing that you can eat is soy.
Now those of you who have been around HSL for a year or so might
remember when I interviewed Kaayla Daniel, author of "The Whole
Soy Story". So this is not new info for you. But I know that it
may be shocking to many of you - you need to hear this
information - you really need to know the facts.
Ori has developed a dietary approach to:
--Protect yourself against these estrogenic substances
--Lower your risk of metabolic disorders and serious diseases
--Help with chronic weight gain.
He has lines of defense incorporated in his program and he has
phases that one goes through. The first phase focuses on the
liver and liver detox with certain foods. In his program you
learn what foods are anti-estrogenic and estrogen inhibitors.
This isn't Ori's first experience with a diet book. He had great
success with his last book, The Warrior Diet. Ori got the
attention of a professor at Johns Hopkins who was intrigued with
the stunning results of a study done with Ori's concept of
"intermittent fasting". This professor published information on
Ori's work in the respected British medical journal Lancet. Ori
was also interviewed several times on the BBC.
Ori is a fascinating man with a cutting edge practical approach
to a very serious problem that is already showing great results.
I am thrilled to be interviewing him next week in a "Green Tea
with Marilee" teleseminar. He will specifically address how pre-
menopausal women and menopausal women can deal with the dilemma
of managing symptoms naturally.
I asked Ori to also touch on how this problem affects
children and men. He said he will briefly talk about soy
formula for infants, early pubescence in children, and prostate
issues in men.
The best part about this teleseminar with Ori is that he wants to
keep the phone lines open and be interactive with you. He is
interested in answering your personal questions! So I say to you
- jump on this opportunity! Here is a chance for some personal
consults.
We'll have him talk about 60 to 70 minutes for the professional
recording company to get the info on the CD. Then Ori will do a Q
& A with you. I will be recording that on my own so you can
have a recording (audio file on the computer) of you speaking
with him (if you choose to do that). Anyone who registers can
get an audio link as well as the CD mailed directly to your home.
So, if you want to be on the call but can't make the date,
register anyway because you will get the disc.
I cannot emphasize enough this man's passion for helping others,
especially women, and especially to help prevent breast cancer.
I've had several conversations with this man and I always think
to myself that it would be nice to have a physician who was this
passionate.
To learn more about Ori and this teleseminar next Tuesday night
(July 24th at 7 PM EST), click on this link below(and check out
his photo - you wouldn't believe how old he is! - I'll tell you
if you want to know :)

2. Do Real Men Spa?
====================
Yup,they sure do. About 30% of spa-goers are male.
What draws them? Services, of course. Services are marketed
differently to men than to women.
Scottsdale Arizona spas have many services offered for men
because of the big golf industry there.
Here are some popular services for men offered in Scottsdale:
--Golf Performance Treatment Massage (Willow Stream Spa)
--Golf Facial (Willow Stream Spa)
--Hot Golfer's Massage - this is like hot stone massage, only
used with hot golf balls (Four Seasons)
--19th Hole Package (Biltmore)
--Golflexolgy Massage (LaQuinta in California)
Next time you want your honey to buy into your love of spas, tell
him he can improve his golf game with these therapies!

3. Essential Oil Tip: Liver Detox
======================================
Oregano, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme
(One herb different from Simon and Garfunkel's 1966 hit song, but
it still sounds okay if you sing it!)
These are four of the recommended liver detoxifiers from Ori's
book (page 37 in "The Anti-Estrogenic Diet"). Liver detox can
neutralize estrogenic chemicals and help breakdown fat.
These oils can be used and applied in many ways. I always say:
"when in doubt use the bottom of the feet!"
It is a good idea to dilute the oregano and thyme since they can
be hot. Dilute with one part essential oil and four parts V6
vegetable oil complex.

bumblebee doesn't know that so it goes on flying anyway".

6.Recipe of the Week: Spinach-Stuffed Flounder
==============================================
Spinach Stuffed Flounder with Feta and Mushrooms
This is a recipe from Ori's book. It is part of Phase II and
Phase III of the program. (By the way he says the biggest meal we
should eat is at night! And his diet is lenient as far as
quantity)
--8 large mushrooms, sliced
--8 oz spinach, rinsed and chopped
--1 tablespoon feta cheese, crumbled
--4 (4 oz) flounder fillets
--Preheat over to 350
--Use medium size skillet - wipe with olive oil and heat over
medium heat
--Add the mushrooms and cook about 5 minutes or until the liquid
released from the mushrooms has evaporated, stir occasionally
--Add the spinach to the skillet. Cook and stir about 2 minutes
or until spinach is wilted.
--Remove from the heat and drain excess moisture.
--Sprinkle feta over vegetables and stir.
--Assemble fish rolls by placing one-quarter of the spinach
mixture onto the wide end of each filet. Carefully roll the filet
around the spinach mixture. Use wooden toothpicks to hold the end
of each roll in place.
--Wipe an 8 x 8-inch baking dish with olive oil. Place the fish
rolls, seam side down, in the baking dish.
--Add 2 tablespoons of water. Loosely cover with foil.
--Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until fish flakes
easily when tested with a fork and is opaque all the way through.
